How to Export All Layers in One Click
Export All Layers in One Click
Efficiency is the cornerstone of any great design project. When you’re managing complex assets—whether for a website, a mobile game, or digital marketing materials—saving every layer manually is a time-consuming bottleneck.
Our latest update to the ArtEditor.art toolkit introduces a powerful Batch Exporter. This feature allows you to export all layers into separated files with a single click, giving you complete control over formats, compression, and organization.
Why Batch Exporting Matters
In a traditional workflow, exporting eight different assets means eight different "Save As" actions. If you make a global change to your project, you have to repeat that process all over again.
The Batch Exporter eliminates this repetition. By clicking the Export tab, you can view every individual layer (Singles) ready for output. Whether you have 5 layers or 50, the process remains just as fast.
Precision Control and Options
A "one-size-fits-all" approach doesn't work for modern web development. That’s why our batch tool includes granular settings to ensure your files are production-ready the moment they hit your hard drive:
- Format Selection (WebP, PNG, etc.): Modernize your site by exporting directly to WebP. It offers superior lossless and lossy compression for images on the web, ensuring your pages load faster without sacrificing quality.
- Quality Slider (Q): Fine-tune the balance between file size and visual clarity. Setting your Quality to 90% is often the "sweet spot" for high-definition WebP assets.
- Atlas & JSON Packaging: For game developers and animators, the tool can generate a texture atlas and the corresponding JSON data, making it easy to import your assets into engines like Phaser or PixiJS.
- Automatic Trimming: Remove unnecessary transparent pixels around your layers automatically to keep your hitboxes tight and file sizes small.
- Instant ZIP Archiving: Instead of cluttering your downloads folder with dozens of individual files, the tool can package everything into a single, organized ZIP file.
How to Use It
Open your project in the ArtEditor.
Navigate to the Export tab in the right-hand sidebar.
- Review your layers: You’ll see a list of all "Singles." You can uncheck any specific layer you don't want to include.
- Set your preferences: Choose your format (WebP is recommended for web), set your quality, and decide if you need an Atlas or a ZIP file.
- Click Export: Watch as the tool processes your entire project and delivers your optimized assets instantly.
Build Faster with ArtEditor.art
We built the Batch Exporter to help creators focus on design rather than file management. By automating the technical side of asset delivery, you can spend more time refining your vision and less time clicking "Save."
